Seeing Bruce Willis these days truly breaks my heart.
The former superstar was diagnosed with aphasia two years ago — and the Die Hard legend is also battling frontotemporal dementia
Now, in the midst of his health challenges, Bruce reportedly shared a heartfelt message with Demi Moore, reminding her of what truly matters.
It’s been two tough years for Bruce Willis and his loved ones. His family are spending as much time with the former movie star as possible, fully aware that any day could be his “last”, according to reports.
Life expectancy of between 6 to 8 years
The public was made aware of the Die Hard star’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in 2023 – prior to that, Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia in 2022.
Sadly, the degenerative nature of Bruce’s condition means that his health issues only seem to be getting worse as time goes on. Fronotemporal dementia has a typical life expectancy of between six to eight years, according to reports. In some cases, however, it can be as low as two years.
A close friend of the actor’s revealed that Bruce Willis is no longer “totally verbal”, while Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, now serves as his full-time carer.
Bruce Willis’ plea to Demi Moore
According to sources close to the family, Bruce still has moments of clarity, often triggered by music. In those moments, he’s expressed his deepest hopes to Demi.
One insider shared with Radar Online:
”He’s told Demi not to give up on love. Bruce wants to leave this world with his loved ones in a good place.”
Demi, now 61, has been by Bruce’s side during his health struggles, showing unwavering support. She’s also recently reignited her career, receiving praise for her role in the horror movie The Substance. Some even believe the movie could land her a first-ever Academy Award nomination.
