Legendary Kris Kristofferson Passes Away Surrounded By Family
When somebody is well-known as a singer or entertainer, they become a part of our family so to speak. We know them on a personal level, and when something happens to them, it has an impact on us.
That is why many people are now grieving over the loss of country music legend, Kris Kristofferson. He passed away at his home in Maui at the age of 88, surrounded by his family.
According to his representative, he died peacefully on September 28, 2024. His family also left a statement, saying: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news our husband/father/grandfather, Kris Kristofferson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28 at home.”
They went on to express how thankful they were for the moments they shared with him, saying: “We’re all so blessed for our time with him. Thank you for loving him all these many years, and when you see a rainbow, know he’s smiling down at us all.”
Kristofferson leaves behind his wife, Lisa Myers, eight children, and seven grandchildren. He was married several times, and had two children to his first wife, a daughter to his second wife, Rita Coolidge, and five children with Meyers.
He may be gone but he leaves a legacy behind that will continue to entertain people for generations. This includes his music as well as his acting.
In 2023, he did post a few times on social media, but he wasn’t typically active. Fans grew increasingly concerned about his health after seeing his physical appearance.
Some of the comments focused on his looks and how his coat didn’t quite cover him properly, including the possibility of a ‘life saving medical device’ that may have been evident. In any case, we are sure that the singer did not share the photos to be scrutinized but rather, to give a long overdue update to his fans.
